Player Kill Mode Player Kill (PK) Mode: Use the <<Tab>> key to toggle PK mode ON and OFF.

The default is PK mode OFF.

With PK mode OFF you are unable to target another player (in other words your cursor will not change to a 'spear').

If attacked by another player your PK mode is automatically turned ON.

Street1, Street2 and Street3, or inside any building are considered safe zones; although players can turn PK mode ON and attack other players the attacks have no effect.

Players Level 15 or less cannot be PK'ed.

Killing another player does not affect your honor.

Once you kill another player then:

Your character turns completely yellow and is "frozen" in place (unable to move or use skills, but able to use items) for a short time. If you are killed in this state, when you are respawned in the hospital you will be "unfrozen".

Your name will turn black for a limited time, identifying you as a "killer" to other players. During this time you are penalized as follows:

you are unable to kill other non-PK'ers (although you are able to kill other PK'ers without penalty)

any player (no matter their PK mode) in any location except Prison can attack and kill you without being penalized themselves

you are unable to take Quests

Hide and Invisibility skills do not conceal you from other players (although it does work against monsters)

If you kill subsequent players then penalty times are cumulative. So for example: First PK = Penalty Time, Second PK = Penalty Time x2, Third PK = Penalty Time x3... nth PK = Penalty Time xn.

Accumulated PK penalty time multipliers (n in the above example) are decremented by not PK'ing. So for example, if you would have had a penalty time of x3 the next time you PK'ed a player, but instead refrained from PK'ing for 10 online hours, your next PK penalty would only be at x2 the next time you then PK'ed. You will lose x1 for every 10 hours of online time where you do not PK.

In the case of self-defense where you retaliate to an attack by another player, for a limited time, you will not invoke any penalty as described above.

There are no PK penalties in the Battle Arenas or during an Army War.

Your PK status is displayed to you when crossing between maps or entering/leaving buildings.

If you manage to find the Mind's Eye then, for a limited amount of time, you will be able to identify who has PK mode ON.

PK'ing is NOT allowed in Prison.

PK penalty times pass at half speed while in Prison.

Prison

The Prison is located in BossSpyDungeon. It can also be reached by clicking the Warden on Street1, who will take you to Prison for 100,000,000.

PK'ers CANNOT leave the Prison until there penalty time expires and they become non-PK'ers. Remember that the time passes twice as slowly in Prison!

Whispering is not permitted in Prison.

Non-PK'ers who have not completed the Level 400 Quest can exit Prison by clicking the Warden (returning to Street1); they are not allowed to walk out.

Non-PK'ers who have completed the Level 400 Quest can exit Prison by walking out, or clicking on the Warden (returning to Street1) by paying 100,000,000.

Divine Punishment At any time Divine Punishment can be exacted on any PK'er, and a lightening bolt from the heavens will strike them dead! This is a random event that becomes more frequent as PK'ing increases.
