The default is PK mode OFF.
First off, the TAB key toggles Player-Kill (PK) mode ON and OFF.
If your PK mode is off, there will be a short pause and "Turning PK Mode ON" will show up in system chat. It will then say "PK Mode ON" when it's activated. You will also notice an icon above your head when PK Mode is on. However, other players cannot see this (there is one exception, explained a bit further down the page).
When turning PK mode off, there is no pause. It shuts off immediately.


With PK mode OFF you are unable to target another player (in other words your cursor will not change to a 'spear').
The default mode is PK mode OFF. But! if you log out with PK Mode ON, it will still be on when you log back in.


If attacked by another player your PK mode is automatically turned ON.
With PK mode OFF you are unable to target another player (in other words your cursor will not change to a 'spear'). You can, however, target other players with Support skills, such as Heal.


Street1, Street2 and Street3, or inside any building are considered safe zones; although players can turn PK mode ON and attack other players the attacks have no effect.

If you have read the Code of Conduct (which you should have), you'll have noticed that Rule 6 is as follows: "You may not enter into "excessive player killing". Although the definition of "excessive" is subjective, a determination of such will be made by a Redmoon Classic's Game Master(s) in response to his/her own game play observations, and/or complaints from other players."


Now, you're probably thinking to yourself, "So if I PK someone they could make a forum post about it and I could get the banhammer." Well, this isn't entirely true. Whenever you decide someone deserves to die, it's in your hands to do the killing. This is part of the game (which you just lost). So far as I can tell from experience, as long as you don't repetitively kill the same player (or group of players), then you are completely within your rights as a RMC player. But be warned, whoever you PK may send a little payback your way.


Divine Punishment
Last but not least, always remember: ''PKing is part of the game.''
At any time Divine Punishment can be exacted on any PK'er, and a lightening bolt from the heavens will strike them dead! This is a random event that becomes more frequent as PK'ing increases.
